CodExtension Software has been on this domain since 2004. For the first nineteen years it was a studio: Photoshop and InDesign template files, CMS extensions for Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, MooTools and jQuery, and a conversion service that turned a layered PSD into a working HTML template.
The studio side closed in 2023. The library and the tools replaced it, and they come out of the same work: a template conversion always started with reading the layer stack, which is the same skill as reading a file header.
How the library is maintained
- A page is written only for a format we can describe from its documented structure. Where a format has no fixed signature, the page says so instead of inventing one.
- Every page carries a review date and an author. Facts are taken from the format’s own documentation, not from a vendor page.
- Roughly sixty new pages go up each week; nothing is dumped in a single batch.
