No. The tools read the file locally and write nothing back.

Because the extension is a label and the header is a record. A renamed file keeps the header of whatever it really is.
Are the tools free?
Yes, and there is no account. The download host carries the builds and the sample packs.

It ran from 2004 to 2023. Its catalogue is in the design archive and the old item pages still resolve.
Can I use the library in a script?
